Non-Immigrant Visas

Non-Immigrant Visas

A U.S. non-immigrant visa allows an individual to come to the U.S. temporarily and for a limited purpose.  Each non-immigrant visa comes with a different set of privileges – for example, some visas permit the individual to work, while others do not.  In addition to a descriptive name, a letter of the alphabet and a number identifies each type of non-immigrant visa.
